AGRIGENTO ARKEOPARK

 This itinerary is a journey though time and space.

We thus visit Akragas, Agrigentum and Girgenti, respectively Agrigento in its greek period, roman and arabic one, through its historical phases with the most significant monuments

​

The journey then continues with the visit of the places and the wonders near Agrigento, discovering the nearby centers of Burgio and its foundry, the only place in Sicily where the church bells are still made in bronze by following an ancient and secret method; the nearby Porto Empedocle and the caos beach; and still Realmonte with its marvelous Stair of the Turks and at last Naro, cradle of sicilian baroque.

In order to live and taste Sicily in a more intense way, the itinerary also includes an extra route with local food and wine tradition and natural sight beauty.

At last a direct experience of greco-roman culture through the experimental archaeological teaching labs focused on the ancients daily life.
