Sunday
Arrival in Sicily and transfer from airport to hotel

Monday
Full Day: Visit to the small town of Burgio.
​
We will start from the main plaza of Burgio characterized by its hundreds of stone portals; visit to the bells factory, only place in Sicily that keeps this art in life dating back the end of 1500, in the foundry of Master Virgadamo's successors who craft bronze according to an ancient, and secret, procedure. In the days of casting it's possible to witness the bronze fusion and the final decoration to the bells.

Lunch: buffet freshly picked/made products.
​
Visit to the Church of San Giuseppe, the Mother Church with its Trapani Virgin Mary's chapel made by Vincenzo Gagini, Riefesi crucifix and yet Cappuccini's convent and its mummies.
Tuesday "Akragas"
Morning: Visit to the Archaeological and landscaping park of Agrigento's Valley of the Temples.
​
We will admire its archeological ruins walking through the whole hill from Juno's temple to, Concordia and the Hercules ones, to the ruins of Zeus temple, Castor and Pollux temple and then reaching the Kolimbetra Garden and its marvelous sight that characterize area of the ancient Akragas.
​
Lunch: picnic with typical sicilian products in the picnic area of Kolymbetra, among the orange grooves of the ancient Akragas's Eden where the water of the Feacei ducts still flows.
(possible visit to the hypogeum with guides and spelunkers).
​
Pomeriggio: clay lab held by Agrigento Arkeopark in the Donari Terrace giving a great sight of Dioscuri's Temple.
Wednesday
Morning: A walk around among the natural beauties of Porto Empedocle seashore; the "Caos", birthplace of Luigi Pirandello, to Realmonte for visiting the marvelous Stairs of the Turks.

Lunch.
​
Afternoon: Weaving lab held by Agrigento Arkeopark.
Thursday "Agrigentum"
Morning: Visit to the Ellenistic-Roman quarter, the regional Musem of Agrigento, the Ekklesiasterion, the Bouleterion and the so-called tyrant Phalaris's Oratory with his famous iron bull, and the roman temple.

Lunch break
​
Afernoon: Mosaic lab held by Agrigento Arkeopark: “The workshop of the master Mosaicist”: opus tessellatum.
Venerdì
Full Day: Visit to the near Baroque town of Naro.
​
We will visit Chiaramonte Castle on an high cliff on top the ruins of the ancient fortress of Nar.
We will visit its historical center and its majestic Church of Saint Francis (Unesco world heritage); we can't miss the Sanctuary of S. Calogero, built in 1599, and the cave where the patron saint of the town lived great part of his life as an heremit, perfect spot, thanks for its majestic sight, for a spiritual retreat.
​
Lunch: buffet with typical freshly picked/made products.
​
Visit the Museum of the Graphic at Malfitano Palace.
Saturday "Girgenti"
Morning: A walk around our town.
​
Guided tour to Agrigento's historical center, the Hill of Girgenti, the Cattedrale of Saint Gerlando and its bell tower, Church of Santa Maria dei Greci built above the ruins of the doric temple dedicated to Athena, the elegant via Atenea with its noble palaces, the mazes of the arab streets, the church, the monastery of the Santo Spirito's sisters and its church decorated by the eighteenth century's stuccos made by Giacomo Serpotta and its school; the visit ends at Luigi Pirandello Theater.
​
Lunch: Tasting of the local products, the Santo Spirito Sisters's sweet cous-cous, cannolis, almond milk, grattatella (sicilian granita variation).
​
Afternoon: Free.
​
Return to the hotel and Dinner with folk music and show.
Sunday
A relaxing awakening, with rich breakfast before the transfer to the airport.
