 "Hunting for myths, gods and heroes": ...for children from 7 to 14 years 

Sicily, one of the most important islands of the Mediterranean Sea, is perhaps the motherland of myths, legends, religious festivals and millenary beliefs that has its roots from Greek traditions.

​

Our "hunt in the Valley of the Temples of Agerigento" is a mix between a game and a guided tour for young tourists and travellers who want to discover our city by doing a fun and intriguing experience.

 

There will be also archaeological workshops to experiment what it means to weave our "Penelope's weave" ,wear a Peplum, create a lamps, make a small mosaic, learning while having fun.

Then a grand finale, with a themed party. Throughout the game, there will be given to young visitors some architectural, historical, natural, ethno-anthropological details, and some curiosities while going on the hunt for clues and goals to achieve.

The common thread of the story which will be told is linked to the myth of Demeter and Persephone, a very compelling and beautiful one that begins in this way: ONCE UPON A TIME DEMETER, THE GODDESS OF EARTH, DECIDED TO HIDE HER DAUGHTER PERSEPHONE IN A PLACE THAT SHE THOUGHT SAFE, IN ORDER TO PROTECT HER FROM ARES’ ATTENTIONS: SICILY ...
