AGRIGENTO ARKEOPARK

The lab introduces to the knowledge of one of the oldest forms of art: the mosaic.

​

The objective is to test the musive technique through a simple language and the active involvement of the participants, developed by following the science's criteria.

 

And so, participants will become the protagonists of life in the ancient mosaicist workshop, they will experience all roles and phases of musive art, till' they arrive to the learning techiniques of direct working and to the realization of a small mosaic's cop.

We recommend to combining this lab with a guided tour to Hellenistic-Roman quarter or the Regional Archaeological Museum of Agrigento.
